2014 Star Chefs Rising Stars Gala

Fluxed with more and more renowned Chefs, DC is sparking Washingtonians tastebuds with delectable and sophisticated dishes. From traditionally comforting to contemporary fusion, Chefs are bringing you all the favorites.

The 2014 Rising Stars Awards honored the DC’s up-and-coming chefs and culinary professionals representing the leading contemporary American dining in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. The event began with an awards ceremony at 6:30pm, followed by a tasting gala from 7-9:30pm.

The walk-around tasting gala gave attendees the opportunity to experience 28 of the area’s restaurants with beverage pairings and cocktails by the winning sommeliers and bartender, in a single location and the tastebud hungry guests ended the night with Giane Cavaliere of Rogue 24 Featured Dish: Sour Cherries, Valrhona Chocolate, Cola, with Pistachios and Sarah Malphrus of Woodberry Kitchen Featured Dish: Buttermilk Sorbet, Oat Granola, Sorghum, and Peaches.
